Garba Beat privacy notice · last updated 10 October 2026

Garba Beat is a free rhythm game. You can play without an account. This page explains what is kept, where, who can see it and how to remove it.

If you play without an account

Your progress (scores, credits, outfits and settings) is saved only in your browser on this device. Nothing about you is sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

If you create a Garba ID

We never ask for your email, phone number, real name, age, location or contacts. Your account is a random ID plus a recovery code that only you hold.

Where it’s kept

Like any website, these services see your device’s IP address when you connect and may keep it briefly in security logs. We don’t use it to identify you.

Why we’re allowed to use it

We use this information only to provide the features you choose: saving progress, friends and score comparisons. Under UK data protection law this is our legitimate interest in running the game you asked to use, with the privacy settings kept as high as possible by default.

Children

Garba Beat is made for all ages and is designed to be safe by default: no personal details, no chat, no profiles beyond an @name and scores on the leaderboards (which you can switch off), no location, and friends only when both people agree. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or carer before creating a Garba ID.

Keeping it safe

How long we keep it, and your choices

You can ask about, correct or delete your data at any time using the options above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If this notice changes, the date at the top will change too.
